If I miss a parry at the front or middle of an enemy combo, I just hold the button to block at that point until the combo is over, or there is a clear opening. Some combos are hard to parry midstream, but I generally have good luck parrying on the front end of a combo. Also, higher difficulties can make the parry windows much smaller.
Definitely a defensive game more than offensive. I don’t play a lot of games but I have played the Arkham games and Spider-Man which were very offensive, really try to parry and use the force as much as possible (like an actual Jedi) Also if you REALLY wanna practice combat go to Dathomir first.
